Psychological Testing
At Campbell Psychological Services, we offer psychological assessments catered to the specific problems you report. Our assessments involve an interview with the psychologist and test administration with the psychometrist.
A variety of computer tests and one-on-one activities with the psychometrist may be done, depending on the reason for the assessment. Cognitive and achievement tests usually involve tasks that will measure your strengths and weaknesses in areas such as academics, memory, attention, verbal skills, and spatial skills.
Personality tests often ask a person to rate how similar certain statements are to them. Call

What Kinds of Problems Do We Test?
Assessments are done for adults, teens, and children starting at age 6 for mental health problems, including:
- Learning disorders
- Anger issues
- Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Dementia
- Memory problems
- Depression and anxiety
- Impulse-control problems
- Weight Loss Surgery
Why Psychological Testing?
Symptoms and problems often relate to several different diagnoses and problems. Psychological testing or assessment is used when the difficulties are unclear and cannot be determined through an interview alone.
This allows the psychologist to gather more information about the problems you are experiencing and also allows you to receive the most appropriate help.
Sometimes your physician will request testing before prescribing medications or giving treatment so that they may appropriately diagnose and prescribe treatment for you.
What Happens After Testing?
Once the assessment is done, you will schedule an appointment for feedback with the psychologist, usually within about a week. At the feedback session, your psychologist will take a look at your results, give recommendations, and answer your questions. Your report will be ready to send to your provider if needed with your written permission.
Will You Share My Results With My Physician?
Your privacy is of utter importance to us. We will not share your results or information with anyone, including your referring physician, without your written consent. If you want it to be shared, we’ll have you sign a consent form at your appointment.
